This bill, known as the "Traveling with Dignity Act," mandates the installation of adult changing accommodations, defined as height-adjustable changing tables for individuals with disabilities needing diapering assistance, in specific public facilities. For commercial places of public amusement with a maximum occupancy of 2,500 or more, such as arenas and theaters, these accommodations must be placed in single-occupancy bathrooms and clearly designated by January 1, 2027, for new construction or renovations, and by January 1, 2034, for existing facilities. Similarly, state-owned buildings open to the public will require at least one single-occupancy bathroom with an adult changing accommodation by January 1, 2030. The Office of General Services, in collaboration with the Chief Disability Officer, will establish regulations for these accommodations, including their dimensions.
