This bill allows a county election commission to set aside specific restroom facilities within a building where an election is being held for the exclusive use of campaign workers or volunteers. These campaign workers and volunteers, if they are outside the actual polling place, can use these designated restrooms, but they are prohibited from entering the polling place itself. Furthermore, any campaign worker or volunteer must cover or remove any clothing or accessories that display campaign material before entering the area designated as the polling place boundary. The bill also clarifies that campaign workers or volunteers who violate these rules, such as by entering the boundary with campaign material visible or attempting to solicit votes within that area, could face penalties under a specific section of Tennessee law related to election offenses.
