This bill transfers the Agency for Enterprise Information Technology, along with the Northwood Shared Resource Center and the Southwood Shared Resource Center, to the newly established Agency for State Technology, which will be headed by the Governor and Cabinet and led by an executive director who also serves as the state's Chief Information Officer. The Agency for State Technology will be responsible for developing and administering a long-range plan for the state's information technology resources, analyzing IT expenditure data, maintaining an inventory of major IT projects (those exceeding $10 million), developing IT architecture and project management standards, providing oversight for large IT projects, coordinating IT resource acquisition, and managing the state data center, excluding the Northwest Regional Data Center. The bill also repeals several existing statutes related to information technology governance and data centers, amends definitions in Chapter 282 of Florida Statutes to reflect these changes, and clarifies the duties and limitations of state agencies regarding data center consolidation and IT security, including requiring agencies to report cybersecurity incidents to the Department of Law Enforcement's Cybercrime Office.
