This bill mandates that the Department of Developmental Services establish a sick leave bank specifically for Barbara Jean Daniels, an employee of that department, overriding any existing general or special laws that might prevent this. The bill allows any employee within the department to voluntarily donate one or more of their sick, personal, or vacation days to this bank for Ms. Daniels' use. If Ms. Daniels leaves her employment or requests the bank be closed, any unused days will be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Importantly, the days in this special sick leave bank can only be used for absences directly related to the illness or disability that led to the bank's creation, as determined by the department.
