This bill authorizes the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, a state agency responsible for managing state-owned properties, to transfer approximately 18.3, 64.3, and 9.63 acres of land located on Green Street in Shrewsbury to the Town of Shrewsbury. This transfer is permitted even though it might normally be restricted by specific state laws (sections 40E to 40J of chapter 7 of the General Laws) that govern the sale or disposal of state land. The conveyance will be made without any guarantees from the Commonwealth, and in exchange for this land, the Town of Shrewsbury will pay a nominal fee of $1. Furthermore, the Town of Shrewsbury will be responsible for all associated costs, such as engineering, surveys, and preparing the legal documents for the transfer. This act will become law immediately upon its approval.
