This bill amends two sections of the Florida Statutes. First, it revises the additional delinquency fee that a board or the Department of Business and Professional Regulation must impose on a delinquent status licensee when such licensee applies for active or inactive status, increasing the fee from an amount not to exceed the biennial renewal fee to a flat $25 fee. Second, it reduces the surcharge rate assessed on certain building permits from 1.5% to 1.0% of the permit fees, with the minimum amount collected on any permit remaining at $2. The bill also specifies how the funds collected from the surcharge are to be allocated and used.
