This bill amends the existing law to establish a voluntary accelerated rebate pilot program for up to 10 eligible commercial or industrial electric users and 10 commercial or industrial gas users in each utility service territory. Eligible customers can apply to participate in the program by notifying the appropriate program administrator by January 31 of each year. Customers who elect to participate will be eligible for financial support of up to 100% of the cost for qualified energy efficiency measures, but the total rebate levels cannot exceed 90% of the amount the customer was charged for energy efficiency programs in 2012. Participating customers will be ineligible for other energy efficiency program rebates during their participation in the pilot program.
