This bill redirects funds from existing housing programs to support emergency homeless shelters in Maine for the fiscal year 2025-26. * The General Fund will receive $4,473,000, which will be used to provide one-time funds to support the operation of emergency homeless shelters through the Maine State Housing Authority's emergency shelter and housing assistance program. * The Housing Opportunities for Maine Fund, administered by the Maine State Housing Authority, will have $2,982,000 deallocated from its Other Special Revenue Funds for fiscal year 2025-26. * The Housing First Fund, administered by the Department of Health and Human Services, will have $1,491,000 deallocated from its Other Special Revenue Funds for fiscal year 2025-26.
