By January 1, 2026, ME EMS must submit a report with the working group's findings and recommendations, including potential legislation, to the Joint Standing Committees on Criminal Justice and Public Safety and Transportation. These committees may then propose legislation based on the report for the Second Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature. The bill includes an emergency clause, meaning it will take effect immediately upon approval.
