After his legislative career, he continued public service through roles with Common Cause Wisconsin and other organizations, and worked in government relations for Kimberly Clark and as an associate vice president for the University of Wisconsin System until his retirement in 1993. The resolution commemorates Martin's contributions to public service and notes his passing on January 22, 2025, at the age of 93, while remembering him as a loving family man and dedicated public servant.
