This bill authorizes the town of Milton to issue one additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages that are intended to be consumed on the premises of a specific restaurant called The Plate at Milton Market Place, located on the second floor of 10 Bassett Street and owned by Lombardi Enterprises, LLC or a successor. This is an exception to the general rules found in sections 11 and 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, which typically limit the number of such licenses. The bill specifies that any successor owner must be approved by the Milton Board of Selectmen and the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, and the transfer of the license to a successor will be treated like a new license application, following the procedures outlined in section 15A of chapter 138. The license will be subject to all regulations in chapter 138, except for section 17, and cannot be transferred to a different location. The bill takes effect immediately upon its passage.
