This bill authorizes the town of West Bridgewater to issue two additional licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages, which are alcoholic drinks containing more than 0.5% alcohol by volume. One of these new licenses will permit the sale of alcoholic beverages to be consumed off the premises where they are sold, and the other will allow for consumption on the premises. These licenses are specifically for businesses located within the West Bridgewater Plaza at 860 North Main Street, and they cannot be transferred to another person or organization, though they can be re-issued at a different location within the same plaza if the applicant demonstrates they are in good standing with the department of revenue and have paid all applicable taxes. If a license is canceled, revoked, or no longer in use, it will be returned to the licensing authority, who can then grant it to a new applicant under the same conditions.
