This bill authorizes the town of Milford to issue one additional license for the sale of wines and malt beverages, specifically for consumption off the premises, to a business named Water Street Meat Market, LLC, located at 3 Water Street. This is an exception to the usual rules outlined in Chapter 138 of the General Laws, which governs alcohol sales in Massachusetts, and specifically overrides a section that might otherwise limit such licenses. The license, once granted, cannot be moved to a different location, but it can be reissued at the same spot if the business is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance, meaning all taxes and fees are paid. If the license is no longer used, it will be returned to the town's licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location under the same conditions. This act will become law immediately upon its approval.
