It is not the proper role of government to track contracts between landlords and renters. The contract is between the two parties. Colorado Politicians, Bureaucrats, and Interested Parties (PBIs) continue wasteful spending on the perpetually unpopular "public" transportation. Coloradan's "vote" every day for personal vehicles that are reliable and safe. The additional "congestion impact fee" on rental cars is a tax by a different name and violates TABOR. And the Safety Clause is included once again to prevent Coloradan's review of the bill.

From the fiscal note it looks like local governments could stop a mineral rights owner from seeking a pooling arrangement to extract his minerals if it is inside the jurisdiction of the government. This provides another weapon of government against oil and gas industry. Oil, natural gas, and coal provide reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant power sources for everyday Coloradans.

This bill proposes to shut down the transportation of coal by giving tax credits to the taxpayers of the towns that are transitioning to some other form of energy. In essence this bill provides tax credit bribes to shut down the transportation of coal. Coal has long been a reliable energy source to heat our homes.

Enabling yet another govt entity authority to levy sales taxes (with voter permission as per TABOR) is unconstitutional.

The government should NOT be training employees to collect data on our children. Also changing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) to EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) is suspect because the public is onto this divisive, unequal, and troublesome agenda. Increases fees and regulation of the oil and gas industry which in turn will increase consumer costs at a time when inflation is already wreaking havoc for everyday Coloradans. This looks like a continuation of the State Legislature's attempt to drive out the oil and gas industry from Colorado.
